Exciting news – my new drone battery has finally arrived! I feel incredibly fortunate because it's the only brand-new battery I managed to snag for a steal, instead of forking out £200 from EHang's warehouse in China. As it stands, EHang holds the monopoly on whatever's left of brand-new batteries for the Ghostdrone 2.0, leaving many drone enthusiasts frantically searching for a spare. With the forecast predicting rain all week, I'm patiently waiting for a break in the weather – a non-windy, sunny day – to take flight once again. There is nothing I hate more than wind and rain. The excitement is building, and I can't wait to fly through the skies with my freshly charged battery.
Moving forward, I aim to enjoy flying my Ghostdrone 2.0 and get as much fun flying out of it as possible. Once the new battery has deteriorated, I don't see myself continuing to fly the drone again. Batteries are nonexistent now, and there isn't really a need to continue flying the big, heavy drone in today's world with much improved drones. It is the uniqueness of the design and thought process put into the drone that's kept me enticed! I will most likely put the drone aside for good, allowing it to collect dust and keeping it as a memory. When I first got the drone in 2018, I only flew it a few times, not taking advantage of all the features. Over the years, not realizing I had to store the battery correctly when not in use for a long time, the cells suffered drastic damage, rendering it useless. The new battery is another chance to not make the same mistake again and just fly it as much as I can before any problems arise.
